Prospects for rain with thunder in 8 districts in Tamil Nadu!

The impact of the scorching summer heat has been higher over the last few days in Tamil Nadu State. It has been so scorching that people are constrained to avoid moving out of their homes!

In this scenario, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for rain with thunder in 8 districts in Tamil Nadu.

In a notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Office in this regard, it is mentioned:

�Due to the thermal convection rain phenomenon, there are prospects of heavy rains with hailstones in 1 or 2 places in the next 24 hours in the districts of Coimbatore, Dindigul, Salem, Tirupur, Dharmapuri, Erode, Namakkal, and Krishnagiri.

There are prospects for mild to medium rain with thunder in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Then, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Thenkasi, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari districts.

A dry climate will prevail in the other districts and Puducherry and Karaikkal.

A warning has been issued that in the area of the Southeast Arabian Sea and the adjacent Lakshadweep cyclonic winds may blow with speeds of 40 kmph to 50 kmph.

As a maximum temperature of up to 40 Degrees to 41 degrees Celsius is likely to be recorded in the districts of Madurai, Trichy, Karur, Salem, and Vellore and Tiruthani, that the public, as well as the farmers, must avoid venturing out and work in the open areas for the next 3 days from 11.30 AM to 3.30 PM.

A dry climate will prevail in the Chennai Metro City. The maximum temperature will be 36 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 28 Degrees Celsius.
