An entrepreneur cum social activist with a garment company in Auroville, Uma Prajapati mentioned that in Tiruppur many textile units have began making face masks to cater to the increasing current demand. The textile units are also looking out at future export potential for global brands. She added that in future face masks could become a part of the lifestyle.
As a part of therapeutic clothing line, her company UIpasana design Studio had launched reusable healing masks made of organic cotton fabric. The neem infused masks and silver grid masks introduced by her have been superb.
It is worthy to note that neem has got detoxifying, calming and anti-allergenic properties in it. The natural dye of neem gives yellow colour to the masks organic hand-woven cotton. The Ayurvedic properties of neem gets carried right through the masks fabric. This was revealed by Uma Prajapati.
