For Kudimaramath works in 34 districts in TN- Rs 500 crores allotted

The TN government order had stated that it had allotted an amount of Rs 500 crores for the Kudimaramathu works in as many as 34 districts belonging to TN. For 2020-21, an amount of Rs 500 has been allotted for as many as 1387 Kudimaramathu works in the 34 districts of TN.
For 377 Kudimaramathu works of Chennai zone, an amount of Rs 155 crores has been allotted. It is worthy to mention that an amount of Rs 140 crores has been allotted for the Kudimaramathu works in Trichy zone. In the same manner for the Coimbatore zone, an amount of Rs 45 cores has been allotted for 246 Kudimaramathu works and for Madurai zone with 306 Kudimaramathu works an amount of Rs 156 crores has been allotted. It is known that Kudimaramathu is a participatory programme of the local public for rejuvenation of Minor Irrigation or MI tanks, ponds etc.
