ICMR: 37 Lakhs Rapid Test Equipment expected any time! Stock on hand can last 6 weeks!

The officials of the central Health Department have informed that over the last 24 hours, coronavirus has been confirmed for 1211 persons.
The number of persons affected in the state has increased to 10,981. The number of lives lost in the country has increased to 368. So far, 1,295 persons have recovered.
The raging coronavirus pandemic has been spreading far, wide, and fast in several countries across the world 205 - including India. This has caused great panic among citizens all over the world!
In this situation, the Central Health Department Officials had a session with the press/ They shared:
�So far, 2.37 samples have been taken for testing. Coronavirus tests are being undertaken in the 166 Laboratories of the Indian Medical Research Council and 7- private laboratories.
Test equipment for coronavirus, presently in stock, can last 6 weeks. In order to conduct coronavirus tests, 37 Lakhs Rapid Test Kits and 33 Lakhs PCR devices have been ordered.
The Rapid Test Kits are expected to arrive at any time as they are already due. 1.06 Lakhs beds are ready in 602 hospitals. 5.20 Crores beneficiaries have been given free food grains under the Pradhan Manthri Garib Kalyan yojana scheme.
3,985 Metric Tons of pulses (lentils) are to be distributed in the states and the Union Territories. The functioning of the Garib Kalyan Yojana is being closely monitored by a very high-level committee!
