It has been decided to offer medical help through the mobile app developed by the Police Department to monitor the persons who have been kept in isolation suspected of infection of the coronavirus.
Thousands of persons have been kept in isolation in Tamil Nadu - those who returned from foreign visits or foreign countries, those who remained in contact with the coronavirus-affected persons, etc. A sticker has been pasted and displayed outside their residences. Further, a stamp has been sealed in the hands of the isolated persons. In case these persons leave their residences and move out, there I a huge risk of others getting an infection of the coronavirus!
In this situation, a mobile app was created by the Department of Police to monitor the isolated citizens - COVID-19 Quarantine Monitor and introduced.
Subsequently, the Police Officials have decided to introduce more facilities on this App.
In this regard, Additional DGP Jayanth Murali of the State Law & order Department shred:
The details of the infected persons (Name, gender, address, mobile number, etc.) are already entered in this App. So, in case they leave their residences, the message will be immediately be transmitted with details of name, address, mobile number, etc., to the control centers of the respective Police Commissioners and the District SPs. So, these citizens would be located and recovered.
Further, we are shortly introducing the facility of offering medical consultancy through the option, Tele Medicine on this App!
