38th district of Tamil Nadu born: Mayiladuthurai!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has released an official order forming a new 38th District Mayliaduthurai. Separating Mayiladuthurai from the district of Nagappattinam, this new district has been formed.
Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy broke this pleasant news in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly much to the delight of the 12 Lakh residents of Mayiladuthurai and around.
With a number of appeals, demonstrations, and protests appealing for the formation of the Mayiladuthurai district over the last 25 years, Chief Minister E. Palaniswmay�s latest order jas brought an end to this issue!
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy released various announcements under Section 110 during his address in the Legislative Assembly on 7th March. It included the announcement that a new district will be formed in the state with Mayiladuthurai as capital! While making this announcement, the Chief Minister explained that this has been done after considering the better administration of the region and also to ensure that the various welfare schemes of the state government reach the citizens in this region true and fast!
After these developments, the Official Government Order has been issued regarding the formation of the Mayiladuthurai district separating from Nagappattinam District.
As a collector for the new district is yet to be announced, the Revenue Administration Commissioner will take the responsibility for the activities against the coronavirus spread.
S, the 38th district of the state of Tamil Nadu is born!
With this, over the last year alone, 6 new districts have been formed in the state of Tamil Nadu.
This new Mayiladuthurai will have 4 Taluks - Mayiladuthurai, Kutralam, Seerkazhi, and Tharangambadi.
