CMRL: Tempo traveller services from Metro Stations to be expanded!
An official of CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Limited) has informed that activities have been initiated to expand the tempo traveller link services provided in the Metro Stations.
There are share-auto services provided in 7 Metro Stations and share-taxi services in 5 Metro Stations. A link transport facility is provided in 14 Metro stations.
Theses services are being availed by more than 70000 passengers per month. Especially, the share-auto service has been hugely popular. So, CMRL had planned to introduce a similar tempo traveller link service.
Accordingly, CMRL launched the tempo traveller link service in the year 2018. Presently, this service is provided in 3 Metro stations - Little Mount, Airport, and Alandur,
In this scenario, a CMRL official informed that activities have been initiated to expand this tempo traveller service in 5 more Metro Stations.
He shared: It is planned to expand the tempo traveller link service in 5 more Metro stations. Presently, CMRL officials are engaged in review sessions analyzing the plan.
