In the recent times, coronavirus have been making huge noises is well known to us. Many countries have been taking measures to prevent the spread of this coronavirus. Important information collected is these coronavirus are transmitted between animals and people and are zoonotic.
In Chennai also many preventive steps are being taken to stop spreading of this virus. It is now revealed that to prevent the spreading of coronavirus smart hand hygiene machines have been installed at the Chennai airport.
These machines were set up at the aerobridge used to disembark the passengers arriving from Hong Kong plus at the pre-immigration area of the international terminal at Chennai airport. Hand sensitizers have been given already to the passenger at the aerobridge and at pre-immigration areas and the new hand hygiene machine would also be used.
The installation of these machines would reduce the risks through manual intervention and would ensure hygiene while handling passengers.
It is worth mentioning that the airport authorities have been screening passengers who have been arriving from countries like China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Bangkok etc. In the last 3 days, as many as 30 passengers have been advised home quarantine. By this, the total number of passengers on home quarantine has increased to 611.
