Southern railways cancel 50 suburban trains on 22nd December in Chennai

This is an important piece of news for those Chennai residents who depend on the trains to reach their places of destination.
Important information that has come out now is southern railways have cancelled as many as 50 suburban trains in Chennai on this Sunday, 22nd December 2019.
It must be noted that the same cancellations would also be applicable on 5th January, 19th January and 2nd February 2020. The reason that has been cited for the cancellation of suburban trains was because of engineering work on the Chennai- Villupuram route.
Starting from 11:10 am to 2:20 pm, as many as 13 trains have been cancelled. Point to be noted is as many as 9 special trains would be operated from Chennai Egmore and Tambaram and these trains would depart at 11:20 am,11:50 am, 12:20 pm,12:50 pm,1:50 pm,2:15 pm ,2:50 pm and 3:20 pm. This was brought out by the railways.
It is worthy to note that in the return direction 9 EMU special trains would leave Tambaram at 10:25 am, 10:55 am,11:25 am,11:55 am,12:25 pm, 12:55 pm,1:25 pm, 1:55 pm and 2:25 pm. In the same way, trains to Arakkonam, Kancheepuram, Tirumalpur and Chengalpet have been cancelled.
From 11:50 am to 2:45 pm, trains to Chengalpet have been cancelled. It must be noted that the train with number 40951 from Chennai Beach to Arakkonam at 12:50 pm has also been cancelled. Trains have been cancelled at 9:40 am to 1:50 pm in the return direction too. Important information gathered is there are trains starting from Chengalpet, Kancheepuram and Tirumalpur alone.
On Sunday, 22nd December, there would be 7 special services from Chennai Beach to Arakkonam and these trains would depart at 11:30 am, 11:45 am, 12:25 pm, 12:55 pm, 1:35 pm, 2 pm and 2:35 pm.
There would be as many as 7 trains that would run in the return direction from Chengalpet to Chennai Beach at 10.05 am, 10:55 am, 11:30 am, 11:55 am, 12:20 pm, 1 pm and 1:50 pm. There would also be one special train from Tirumalpur to Chennai Beach and this train would leave Tirumalpur at 10:40 am. Point to be noted is one EMU special train from Kancheepuram to Chennai Beach would leave Kancheepuram at 9:15 am in the morning.
