Collection of Toll Charges in electronic mode at toll gates from December!

Toll-gates have been set up throughout the country on the National Highways and specific toll charges are collected from the vehicles passing.
As the vehicles are parked in long lines awaiting the payment at the toll-gate counter, a severe traffic jam is experienced.
Especially, ‘the ‘FasTag’ passengers also get delayed in reaching their destinations.
In a similar trend, the goods transpiration also gets delayed.
In order to prevent this delay, a new system of collecting electronic payments is already implemented. However, this system of electronic payment is available only at some toll-gates.
As per this, the ‘FasTag’ card is to be fixed on the front of the vehicle. These cards can be procured for whatever preferred amount and then recharged whenever required.
The National Highways Department is expediting the activities to set up this new system.
Officers and staff, who are specially trained for adopting this system, are being appointed in these toll-gates.
This new system is all set to be implemented in all the toll-gates throughout the country. The central government has decided to employ a large squad of employees for this purpose.
