The high air-pollution level comes down in Chennai Metro City!

In recent times, the air pollution level was on the extremely high-side as experienced in Delhi!
It was explained that because of the high moisture content in the air mixed with the emissions from the vehicles, factories, and construction sites, the pollution level reached a new high and this is likely to prevail for a few days.
In this scenario, as per the latest info released by the pollution control board this morning (Wednesday, 13th November), the pollution level in the air has reduced substantially!
AQI (Air Quality Index), which was 208 in Velacherry area has comedown today (13th November) to just 78!
At Manali suburban area it was 85 and at Alandur, it was 90.
The air would be of breathable quality only if the AQI is less than 50! As such, the substantial reduction in the air-pollution extent has brought some sort of mental (and physical!) peace to the Chennai Metro City citizens!
