The grand festival of Tiruchendur Soorasamharam-2019

There have been multiple swarms of devotees in the Tirchendur Lord Subramanya Swamy temple. Today (Saturday, 2nd November) being the 6th Day of the �Kandha Sashti� festival, the devotees have gathered to watch the �Soorasamharam� scheduled to be performed in the evening.
As there have been swarms of crowds swelling all the time, the security in the area has been strengthened.
The temple corridors were opened at earl morning 1.00 AM today (Saturday, 2nd November). The events of Viswaroopa Dharisanam was performed at 1.30 AM, Udhayamarthanda Abhishekham at 2.00 AM, and Uchi Kala Abhishekham at 9.00 AM. �Sayaratchai Deeparadhanai� was performed at 1.00 PM. Subsequently, other events as per time-scheduled were performed.
After 4.30 PM, the deity of Lord Jayanthinadhar will destroy the demon Soorapadman. After this, special Deeparadhanai will be performed for the deities of Lord Jayanthinathar and Ambal.
Subsequently, the deity of the Lord and His Consort Ambal will be seated on the �Pushpa Chapparam� and will be taken on a �Giri Veedhi Valam� and then Sayabhishekham will be performed in front of the Sanctum of Lord Mahadevar.
It has been declared as a local holiday in Thiruchendur on the occasion of �Soorasamharam�.
