Children of employees/labourers can avail education financial assistance!

The secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Government Department of Labour/employee welfare has informed that the employees/labourers who pay the labour/employees welfare fund can apply for and avail education assistance.
A press notification from the above secretary mentions:
‘The Department of labour/employee welfare has been implementing various assistance schemes such as educational assistance for children, education incentive payment, financial assistance for buying textbooks, etc. The children of parents who earn a monthly income of less than Rs. 25000 can avail the above financial assistance.
For studying in graduate/postgraduate courses such as engineering, medical, law, teachers’ training, Agriculture, Physical Education, financial assistance from Rs. 5500 to Rs. 12000 is offered. For higher education in the industrial field, Rs. 4000 is offered.
In every education district, for the students securing the top 10 ranks, financial assistance is offered. For 10th Standard, it is Rs. 2000. For +2, it is Rs. 3000.
The employees have to submit the applications for availing these financial assistances through their employing company before December to the address:
