Many infrastructural projects in Chennai inaugurated now

Don�t be surprised if you come across a fish market in Nammalwarpet, hospital in Manali, an eco-park in Korukkupet and a waste incineration facility in Manali in the future.

These are some of the 12 civic projects of the Chennai Corporation that were launched by the chief minister of TN at a cost of Rs 20.5 crores.

On Thursday, 31st October 2019, the chief minister of TN, Mr. E. Palaniswamy grabbed many eyeballs. He launched many infrastructure projects for the Chennai and welfare schemes of Rs 813 crores for various parts of TN. It must be noted that foundation stone was laid for 4 projects like rail overbridge at Kolathur-Villivakkam LC1 and bridges at Vadaperumbakkkam, Amulavoyal and Burma Nagar.

The chief minister of TN launched schemes of metro water such as underground sewer network in Thiruvottiyur, Sholinganallur-Karapakkam, and water supply schemes for Sholinganallur-Karapakkam. To fulfill the aspirants of the people, the state government was determined to implement civic projects. The chief minister then explained about how over 48.45% of people in TN reside in urban places.

It must be taken into account that presently TN has 15 corporations, 121 municipalities, and 528 town panchayats. Information is at the India level 31% of the people reside in urban areas and 79,394 villages in TN have 12,524 village panchayats for local governance. To promote growth and development in the urban as well as in the rural areas of TN, the government has been taking many steps now. This was as per the chief minister of TN.  He then shed light on how the World Bank would fund a project for the promotion of entrepreneurship among Adi Dravidars, ST and women.

It is worthy to mention that the water supply schemes were launched in places like Dindigul, Theni, Nagapattinam, Vellore, and Cuddalore.  Mr. O. Paneerselvam, deputy chief minister, spoke about the presence of over 6.81 lakh SHGs.
