Special trains for Deepavali in order to meet the festival travel rush!
In order to reduce the rush of the passengers for travel during the occasion of Deepavali, it has been decided to operate more than 8 trains.
The Deepavali festival falls on Sunday, 27th October. The previous Saturday is declared a holiday. So, it is expected most of the traveling public will start fro their native places on Friday night itself (25th October).
They are prepared to do the advance reservation for the trains/buses.
Southern Railway has decided to operate special trains for this occasion.
The special trains will operate to Sengottai, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Nagercoil, Coimbatore, and Salem.
