
The meteorological department has predicted that the city of Chennai or the suburbs would have light rains for the next 2 days. The maximum temperature would be around 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature would be around 25 degrees Celsius.
Light to moderate rains is likely to occur in some places. This was as per the forecast made by RMC Chennai for the next 24 hours of time. On Wednesday, the sky was overcast and the day temperature decreased mildly is known.
It must be noted that Nungambakkam recorded 4.4 mm of rains and Meenambakkam recorded 12.6 mm of rains. On Thursday morning, the temperature increased and Nungambakkam registered 34.8 degrees Celcius and Meenambakkam registered 34.6 degree Celsius. It was around 2:30 pm the sea breeze set in and it brought some respite from the heat for the Chennai residents.
It was later mentioned by weather blogger, Mr. Pradeep John, the southern suburbs of Chennai were favorable to rains. As per him, other parts of Chennai would also get rains but little later than the southern suburbs.
The experts have pointed out that light to moderate rains might continue in the coming days. The intensity of the southwest monsoon would decrease and finally, it would start withdrawing from the rest of India.
