Stalin walks out of Budget session

As the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker P. Dhanapal asked the State Finance Minister O. Paneerselvam to take the stage to present the budget for 2013-14, DMK leader M.K. Stalin stood up and attempted to read out statement.
However, he could not be heard as his microphone was switched off. Even before Mr. Paneerselvam could start, Mr. Stalin and MLAs belonging to the DMK staged a walk out.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Stalin said, �The budget presentation by the Finance Minister is only a ritual. The last two years have proved that the announcements made in AIADMK budgets take at least a year�s time to be issued as government orders. The budgets presented by this regime are not time-bound and exist only on paper. It is neither useful nor helpful.�
