Hugo Chavez dies at 58
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez passed away on Wednesday after being diagnosed with cancer in 2011. The announcement was made on national TV by Vice President Nicolas Maduro.
Mr. Chavez had been through many chemotherapy and radiation treatments and 4 operations since his diagnosis. He had declared himself cured twice before. He was undergoing treatment in Cuba.
The Venezuelan government has accused a UN official of plotting against the President and joining hands with his enemies who have allegedly �poisoned� him with the cancer.Hugo Chavez was 58 years old.
