Delay in Chennai monorail

In the wake of Mumbai�s trial run of its monorail, Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Ms. Sheela Balakrishnan has expedited the monorail project in Chennai. She has asked for a briefing on the delay of tendering for the project which was announced almost 18 months ago.
The Government has announced Rs. 8,500 crores for the project.
