New collectors for Chennai and other districts in TN

On Thursday, 23rd August 2018, state government grabbed many eyeballs when it issued orders for transferring as many as 28 bureaucrats. This is now regarded as a major reshuffling of IAS officials in Tamil Nadu.
As per the order issued by the chief secretary of TN, Mrs Girija Vaidyanathan, Mr. A. Shanmugha Sundaram has been posted as the collector for Chennai district. Mr. J. Jayakanthan has been posted as the collector for Sivagangai district. Similarly Mr. S. Natarajan and Mr. C. Kathiravan have been posted as collectors for Madurai and Erode districts.
The order also stated that Mr. V. Anbuselvan, Mr. K. Veera Raghava Rao, Mr. S. Prabhakar and Mrs Mageswari Ravikumar have been posted as collectors for Cuddalore district, Ramanathapuram district, Krishnagiri district and Tiruvallur district respectively.
It is known that Mr. T. Udhayachandran is the secretary for school education and now he has been transferred and posted as commissioner of archaeology. Similarly Mr. Sunil Paliwal who is the secretary of higher education department till now has been posted as principal secretary of labour and employment department. Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma is now appointed as secretary of higher education.
The environment of forests department gets its new principal secretary in the form of Mr. Shambhu Kallolikar. It is now revealed that he would be doubling up as the new chairman of Tamil Nadu pollution control board. The Chennai metropolitan water supply and sewerage board or CMWSSB gets its new managing director in the form of Mr. Ashok Dongre.
According to the order, J.U Chandrakala would be the new executive director for Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women Ltd.
Till now Mr. D. Karthikeyan has been working as the commissioner for GCC or Greater Chennai Corporation is known. Now he would be taking additional responsibility and would be the chairman and managing director of Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructural Development Corporation Ltd.
