After the completion of the 2-stage counselling for admission to the medical courses, 4 seats have been offered to the students from the government schools for admission in the government medical colleges.

For the seats available to join the medical courses of MBBS and BDS in the government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu and the government quota in the private medical colleges, the 2-stage counselling sessions have just been completed. The final stage of counselling is scheduled for Thursday (tomorrow, 23rd August).

At the end of the 20stage counselling, 4 students from the government schools have been offered seats in the government medical colleges. 26 students from the government-aided schools have been offered admissions in the government medical colleges and under the government quota in some private medical colleges.

Though the number of students from government-aided schools as above has increased as compared to the last year, the number of government schools students who got admission has reduced.

In the last academic year, 5 government schools students got admission to the medical courses. 2 students got admission in the government medical colleges and the 3 other students got admissions under the government quota in private colleges. Apart from this, 12 more students from government-aided schools also have been offered MBBS seats.

In this scenario, the final stage of counselling for the government quota seats in the private medical colleges is scheduled tomorrow (23rd August).

On 24th August, the 2nd stage counselling for the administration quota in the private medical colleges is scheduled. On 25th August, the counselling for the quota of seats for the students living abroad is scheduled.

The detailed time-table schedules have been uploaded have been uploaded on the official websites.
