The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has planned to organise a special pilgrimage/tourism train to Shirdi.
The train will start from Madurai on 5th September and travel via Dindigul, Karur, Erode, and Chennai Central. In a 70day tourism-cum-pilgrimage trip, the following holy places will be covered - Shirdi and Pandaripuram in Maharashtra, and Mantralayam in Andhra.
The visit fare per person is fixed at Rs. 6615. This fare includes 2nd class sleeping berth facility, south Indian food items, boarding, and the visiting charges for the tourism centres.
