Legendary DMK President Karunanidhi passes away

The physical condition of the DMK President and former Chief Minister, M. Karunanidhi, had deteriorated since yesterday night. The hospital reports mentioned that it was a battle for life. Finally, the end came at 6.10 PM as per the report from Kauvery hospital.
A legend in his lifetime, he has a colossal place in the history of Tamil Nadu – as a politician, serving as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for several terms, a master of Tamil Literature, and a reputed writer, apart from having served as a colossus in the field of Tamil film world. His scripts and dialogues had led to many milestone movies in the Tamil films history. He also rode the party of DMK as a colossus serving as the working president of DMK for the last 50 years.
He leaves a huge vacuum in the Tamil Nadu political arena and even in other fields such as the literary field and the Tamil film field.
