Public Smoking Fine to be taken seriously

In a meeting conducted by the Tobacco Control Board yesterday, it was decided that the law against public smoking will be adhered to strictly hereafter.
The law, which was instated 4 years ago, states that smoking in public places � auditoriums, educational campuses, hospitals, railway stations, court houses, government buildings, banks etc. � will be punished with a Rs. 200 fine at the spot. This has been taken very lightly by the authorities till now.
