�Kambar� and �Sollil Selvan� Awards this New Year

New awards instituted by the Tamil Nadu government will be part of the Tamil New Year celebrations this year as well, said Tamil Nadu Governor, Dr. K. Rosaiah. The �Ovvaiyar� award was given to noted educationist Dr. Mrs. Y.G. Parthasarathy last year.
This year�s awards are the �Kambar� award (for those who live by the ideals stated in the Kamba Ramayanam) and the �Sollil Selvan� award (which will be given to a Tamil Literary Orator).
