Shops and eateries on Marina Beach to go

The landscape of Chennai�s chief landmark Marina Beach is set to change as the Madras High Court has passed an order to stop the operation of all shops, vendors and eateries on its stretch.
The order comes in the wake of a public writ petition by the Gandhiji Consumer Forum which states that the shops have spoilt the glory of the beach and that tourists and others in the city have started to avoid the destination.
