New Revenue Court in Trichy

With more than 1,900 cases pending in the Tiruchirapalli Revenue Court, a new revenue court has been established in Lalgudi in Trichy district from January 21st. This new court will take care of Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) and Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants (Protection) Act cases.
An official press release has comments from District Collector Ms. Jayashree Muralidharan. She said that the new court has been created on bifurcation of the Tiruchi Revenue Court and will will chaired by a special deputy collector. The court�s jurisdiction will cover Srirangam, Lalgudi, Manachallur, Musiri, Thottiyam and Thuraiyur taluks.
