Tamil Nadu government announces Pongal Bonus for government employees and teachers
The state government of Tamil Nadu has announced Pongal festival Bonus for the state government employees and the government school teachers.
For the year 2016-2017, Category C and D employees and teachers a maximum of Rs. 3000 will be paid a bonus � as the equivalent of 30 days wages/salary.
Further, a bonus of Rs. 1000 will be paid to the following cadres of the state government employees:
The employees in the nutrition meal scheme who are paid as a special term pay, Anganwadi employees working under the coordinated child development scheme, village assistants, Panchayat Assistants in the Panchayat development scheme and the administration, paid under the special term-pay, contract employees (on a temporary basis), employees working under the daily wages scheme, the employees who were on the daily wage scheme earlier and then subsequently made permanent.
