The price of green chillis doubles

The agriculturists from the village Chinnamanur are delighted - because the price of green chillis has doubled.
The 2 types of chillis � known as Samba (finger-shaped) and uruttu milagai (spherical shape) - are being grown in the areas in Theni district surrounding Chinnamanur � Markaiyankottai, Kuchanur, Duraisamipuram, Koozhaiyanur, Ayyampatti, Appipatti, Muthulapuram, Chinnaovulapuram, Erasakkanayakanur, Odaippatti Kamatchipuram, and Seeppalakkottai villages.
Presently, the harvesting of the short-term agricultural product of green chillis is in progress. Further, the prices of the vegetables have gone up as the devotees of Sabarimalai and Palani are in their �Viratham� period. Subsequently, the price of green chilli has also gone up.
As the arrival quantity of green chillis had increased, it was sold at Rs. 8 per kg. Presently, green chilli is being sold at Rs. 15 per kg. With this doubling of price, the farmers are indeed delighted.
