RK Nagar By-Election: Nomination filing from today (27th Nov)

The independent candidate Rajendran and Padmarajan (popularly known as election king) filed their nominations today (Monday, 27th November) at the Election Commission Regional Office at Tondiarpet Chennai to the Election official Veluchamy for contesting in the R. K. Nagar Assembly Constituency election.
Additional police have been deployed for the security of the regional election office and they have set up a fence blockade around the office over a distance of 00-200 metres. Rifled-police have been deployed posted at the regional office premises.
It has been announced that the nomination for filing can be done from 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM.
The last date for filing nomination is 4th December.
After this, the nominations will be scrutinized and the final list of the contestants will be released at 3.00 PM on 7th December.
