Claiming about insufficient teaching and devastating his likely opportunities in the job market, a former Oxford University student who is said to be of Indian origin has sued the Oxford University for about a million pounds after about 17 years now!
The sue is placed by Faiz Siddiqui. He claims that he has got very poor teaching in the specialization he took up which is Indian imperial history due to which he had scored 2:1 in 2000. Now aging 39 who took up modern history from Brasenose College said the poor teaching has resulted in loss of earnings in his future career as lawyer.
Though many may consider 2:1 as a tremendous achievement from Oxford University, it was not up to what Mr. Siddiqui expected. It was a disappointment, says Roger Mallalieu, his lawyer.
The Oxford has let down Mr. Siddique. He stepped into the university with tremendous expectations, he said.
He however passed out as a victim of poor teaching as the staff members were absent, having went on sabbatical leave. Furthermore, proof of clinical depression or insomnia that he faced are not shared by his personal tutor to the examiner.
Though he got a job in a leading law and accountancy firm in the UK, he got unemployed soon.
