Good prospects of heavy rain today in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are good prospects of heavy rain throughout Tamil Nadu today (Friday, 4th August).
There have been seasonal rains in several places due to the southwest monsoon rainy season. Among the southern states, it has been raining in the states of Kerala, Karnataka, and the Western Ghat Range of Tamil Nadu.
However, it was quite a hot weather for the last week in the other districts of Tamil Nadu. In this situation, it has been raining in several places in Tamil Nadu over the last few days.
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there is a recent formation of thermal convection and due to this, there are prospects of heavy rains with thunder today (4th August). It may rain in the evening or night in the Chennai.
