The information is gathered that the results of the +2 CBSE examinations may be released tomorrow (Saturday, 27th March).
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) had announced in the month of April that the system of awarding mercy marks will be abolished. However, a petition against this decision was filed in the Delhi High Court. The judges who conducted this enquiry announced that the CBSE decision to abolish award of mercy marks was an unkind and irresponsible act.
As the students would suffer to a great extent if the new proposal of the marking system is implemented by CBSE during the current year itself, the judges ordered that the old system must continue.
The central minister for Human Welfare and Development, Mr. Prakash Javadekar, had announced yesterday (Thursday, 25th May), that CBSE +2 results will be released at the right time.
In case CBSE decides to appeal to the Supreme Court regarding the Delhi High Court order explained above, it seems that the legal experts expressed that there might be a delay in releasing the CBSE +2 results this year.
Hence, CBSE has decided to continue with the prevailing mark system offering mercy marks for the current year as well and release the CBSE +2 results. Accordingly, it is expected that the CBSE +2 results may be released tomorrow (Saturday, 27th May).
