Promotion for 17 IPS Officers

17 IPS officers in Tamil Nadu have been promoted as DIGs (Deputy Inspector General) and (probationary) SPs (Superintendent of Police).
The Home Secretary Niranjan Mardy has ordered the promotions for Amit Kumar Singh, Ashwin M. Kotnis, V. Balakrishnan Pradeep Kumar, and R.sudhakar, all from the selection for the year 2003, from S. P. to D. I. G.
Further, K. A. Senthilvelan, Avinash Kumar, Asra Garg, A. G. Babu, P. K. Senthil Kumar, A. T. Duraikumar, C. MaheshwariN. Z. Aasiamml, A. Radhika, R. Lalitha Lakshmi, M. V. Jaya Gowri, and N. Kamini, all directly appointed in the year 2004, are presently ASPs. They are promoted as SPs on a probationary basis.
They will be promoted as regular DIGs as and when the vacancies arise.
