Chennai City gets new collector

Tamilnadu government on Thursday(27Sep,2012) transferred over 20 secretary-level IAS officers and posted new principal and joint secretaries to various government departments.
In addition, several district collectors were also transferred. Chennai�s new collector is J. Jayakanthan.He replaces S. Jayandhi, who has been posted as collector for Karur district.
