Heavy rain floods Chennai roads

The Chennai and suburbs received more than 4 cm rainfall in less than two hours on Yesterday. Elsewhere in the city, roads were flooded and vehicles stranded as the sudden downpour threw life out of gear.
The Met department recorded 0.3 mm rainfall in Nungambakkam and as much as 47 mm in Meenambakkam. Also smeteorological center has said that, The parts of Tamil Nadu will receive rain fall for 2 more days due to the thermal convection.
Rains are also expected on Todaywith the Met department forecasting that the "sky will be cloudy and rain or thundershowers are likely in some areas."
