Now receive 50 MB attachments on your Gmail account

To all the loyal Gmail users, here comes a relief from the maximum file sharing limit of 25 MB. Now, the maximum size of receiving files via Gmail is increased from 25 to 50 MB. This is a lifesaver to most users who frequently get irked by the 25MB ceiling. However, the relief comes with a catch. Users can only receive files up to 50 MB and the sending limit will remain the same 25MB.

Well, do not be confused. If no one can send an attachment of 50 MB, how would anyone receive the doubled memory? The Google post made in this regard has not failed to articulate the issue. It means you can receive files when shared from other mailing services.

The update has got rolled out, but for this to be available to everyone, users may have to wait for three more days. At the same time, users can keep continuing the usage of Google Drive to share larger files up to 5TB.
