Chief Minister: Port-Maduravoyal Flying Highway will soon be constructed for public use

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palanisami informed that the flyway (flying highway) in Chennai in the section Chennai Port to Maduravoyal will soon be made ready for service.
The Chief Minister, who is presently in Delhi, met with the Central Highways Minister Gadkari and held discussions with him.
He met the press reporters and informed that the state government has approved the flyway project between the Chennai Port and Maduravoyal and actions will be initiated to implement the project shortly. He told that the flyway project will be executed jointly by the central and the state government.
He further informed that this project had been kept pending over the last 6 years and consultations are in progress to expedite the project.
He informed that he had requested the central government to convert and elevate around 800 km of Highways in Tamil Nadu as National Highways, He told that the central minister Gadkari accepted his proposal.
