Sarathkumar, film actor and the President of the SPP (Samathuva Peoples Party) observed on Sunday (29th January) that the Tamil Nadu states education policy including the Balanced education System should be changed.
Mr. Sarathkumar was participating in a party program in Dindigul. He informed the press reporters that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O. Panneerselam has been functioning well in bringing the ordinance to recall the ban on Jallikattu, declaring the state in drought conditions, and also efforts to bring the Krishna River water to Chennai. He expected that, in a similar vein, the Chief Minister would also take action on the recent violence unleashed by Police on the last day of the youth protest against Jallikattu ban.
Giving due recognition and importance to agriculture, at least 1 member of each family should be in the field of agriculture. This would bring a considerable reduction in the number of farmer families shifting to cities.
Similarly, changes must be brought in the education policy as well. He told that especially, the balanced education scheme, currently in operation, should be analyzed thoroughly.
When enquired about the actions of the Film Artists Association, Sarthkumar informed that he is not aware of anything and there is no connection between him and the film artists association. He also desired that there should find an amicable solution to the elections in the Film Producers Association.
