Retailers to submit list of recharges before 15th Dec

A top government official said that retailers who are into prepaid mobile vouchers sales need to submit the details of all customers who recharge their phones using old currency notes.
On Thursday, an announcement was made stating that Rs 500 notes can be used for topping up prepaid connections until 15th December. Deepak, the telecom secretary said these retailers need to submit the entire list of customers who recharge their mobile using old currency notes.
The Finance ministry also added that starting from 24th November until 15th December, de-funct notes of Rs 500 can be used. To note, this announcement is made after about fifteen days of demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
With the ongoing Digital India program including that of smart city and make in India initiatives, it will be possible to create over 11 to 12 million job opportunities in five years down the line, according to Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) chief executive Lt Gen (Retd) SP Kochhar told.
