78.55 lakh consumers do not pay any electricity bill

Tamil Nadu State Government has mentioned that 78.55 lakhs people did not pay the electricity bills because the government is giving 100 units free to the consumers.
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa made good one of her key promises made during the election campaign-provision of 100 units of power for all domestic consumers in the State. Because of this announcement 190.90 lakhs household consumers are benefitted. Similarly 78.55 lakhs people who use less than 100 units are not paying the electric bills.
The 100 free units given to the handloom weavers were increased to 200 units. Because of this 1, 11,010 weavers are being benefitted. Similarly the units for the power looms were increased from 500 units to 750 units. Because of this 98712 weavers are benefitted.
