UCWeb browser has 100 million monthly active users IN India

UCWeb, an Alibaba Mobile Business Group Company which is aiming to become the No. 1 content aggregation platform in India with a focus on entertainment-related content has crossed the 100 million monthly active user milestone in India with a leading market share of 57 per cent, as per StatCounter followed by Chrome and Opera at 20.75 per cent and 11.82 per cent, respectively. India users constitute 25 per cent of UCWeb�s global active user base of 420 million.
In India, UCWeb is focused on three major products � UC Browser (mobile browser), its flagship product launched six years ago; UC News (personalized content distribution platform) launched in June this year; and 9Apps, a third-party app store.
Entertainment is the most consumed content on UC Browser in India, followed by Sports and Consumer Tech. Ye says, there is a huge gap in the entertainment content that is available to Indian users which the company wants to fill.
