Indian Coast Guard services as the country�s 4th major defense pillar after the army, navy, and Airforce.
Indian Coast Guard protects the coastal areas and prevents illegal smuggling of drugs, etc. and also rescuing ships or fishermen caught in the mid-sea.
The Indian Coast Guard has vacancies for the posts of Navik.
Academic qualifications: Candidates who have completed 10th Standard are eligible to apply. They should have secured a minimum of 60 percent. There is a concession in the marks for the candidates who excel in sports - 55 percent.
Age limit: Candidates must be in the age group 18-22. Age concession is allowed as per the central government�s rules and regulations � OBC � 3 years and SC/ST candidates � 5 years.
Selection procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained in 10th Standard, physical skill test, and medical check-up.
Applying procedure and last date: Eligible candidates who have the required qualification and the age group can apply online before 20th November.
