These types of frauds continue happening. The culprits use some new software. They stick a special sticker in ATM which is capable of reading the secret PIN codes and commit the frauds.

In a step to check this, the debit cards of affected customers, as well as those who have not changed their PIN code number for long periods, have been blocked.

Emails/letters have been sent to the customer as well as the relevant branches. New cards will be issued to them shortly. Customers who have kept the same PIN code number for long periods have been strictly advised to change the same immediately.

Most of the nationalized banks have sent SMS to the users to change their Debit Card PIN code numbers. It has been clarified in the SMS that the PIN code number can easily be changed in the ATMs. However, most customers do not notice it.
