Get daily traffic situation alerts, accident and route diversion from Chennai Police

Day by day the vehicles in Tamil Nadu capital city Chennai is increasing. Because of this, there is heavy traffic congestion. Moreover there is heavy traffic snarl because of the of the ongoing metro rail work. Earlier in 2011, Chennai Traffic Police on the lines of Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai had introduced the SMS updates on traffic situation etc but later on there was less patronage for this. Now the officials have decided to introduce the SMS alerts.
Now get daily traffic situation alerts, accident and route diversion updates from Chennai Traffic Police through an SMS from today.
For subscribing to the service, one has to SMS Join CTP to 09219592195 and then onwards, one will get the alerts. Presently 15000 people have subscribed for this SMS alerts
