DA hike for 13 lakh TN State Government employees

The State government on Monday issued an order announcing increased dearness allowance for its employees.

The order stated that following the orders issued by the Centre, the government has sanctioned revised rate of dearness allowance to State Government employees, which will be payable from 1 July, 2011.
The rate would be 58 per cent pay plus grade pay. Earlier revision was made on 1 January, 2011, which was 51 per cent.
The order said the increase in the allowance should be paid in cash with effect from 1 July, 2011.
The arrears of the allowance for the months of July, August and September should be disbursed immediately.
