Volta Zap - India�s first crossover electric cycle

Volta Motors in Chennai has come up its very own design called Volta Zap and the company claims this to be first of its kind in crossover electric cycle in India. This cycle was unveiled during Bangalore White Orchid Convention Centre. Visitors at the event enjoyed free rides. The company has started taking up pre-orders placed online, but has so far not disclosed pricing details or launch date.
If Volta Zap seems new to you, this belongs to Make in India policy. It is nurtured by Volta Motors designers and engineers. The cycle is stunning in look and ideal for tackling hectic road traffic in India and the country�s climatic conditions.
With Volta Zap, it will be possible to drive up to 60 km without the need for pedaling and with a single charge. Coming on to its operating cost, it is as low as 7 paise per km. The battery used in the cycle weighs 3 kg and this is boasted to be the lightest ever battery on e-bike till date.
In addition to serving as a battery, it can also be used as power bank to get your phone, laptop or tablets charged. The battery is easy to handle and get fit in a box frame. It is easy to fit or remove the battery.
