Sales of cars increased by 11 percent

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) had released the date of car sales in April. The demands of SUV cars have been increased. Because of this 242,060 cars have been sold. Compared to last year April, the sales have been increased by 11.02 percent. Similarly the domestic passenger car sales inched up by 1.87 per cent last month. 1, 62,566 domestic passenger cars were sold. The utility vehicles sales rose by 42.83 per cent to 62,170 units. There was 17.36 per cent growth in the overall commercial vehicles segment sales. 53,835 commercial vehicles were sold. As far as Two-wheelers segment is concerned, the sales of scooters were increased by 35.86 percent. 4, 68,368 scooters were sold. With regard to motor cycles, the sales increased by 16.24 percent. 10, 24,926 motor cycles were sold.
