Director of Medical Education: Application for Medical Courses from 9th May

The applications for joining engineering courses are being available from 15th April online.
In this scenario, the Director of Medical Education Ms. Vimala informed that the application for joining medical courses in the 20 government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu will commence on 9th May.
The director further informed that there are 265 seats for MBBS Courses in 20 government colleges in Tamil Nadu. 15 percent of these seats is reserved under All India quota. So, the balance of 2257 seats is available. There are 595 MBBS course seats available for the government from private medical colleges. Out of the 100 seats available in KK Nagar ESI Medical College, 65 are meant for government quota.This forms a total of 2917 seats for MBBS Course.
Out of the 100 seats available in Chennai Government Dental College, All India quota is 15 seats, The balance is 85 seats. There are 970 seats reserved as government quota in the 17 private dental colleges, Thus, there are 1055 seats available for Dental college.
The application forms for joining MBBS & Dental Courses are being distributed from 9th May.
Applications will be available till 5.00 PM on 26th May. Applications can be obtained by paying Rs. 500/- as DD.
Application forms can be downloaded from the website: www.tnhealth.org.
Filled application forms will be received till 5.00 PM on 27th May.
The received applications will be scrutinized and a merit list will be released. The 1st counselling is scheduled in the month of June. The 2nd stage counselling is scheduled in August.
