First time introduced in Chennai Central: arrival, departure and platform No to be intimated by SMS

For the first time passengers boarding and alighting at Chennai Central railway station will get information regarding the platform number on which their train will arrive or depart from by SMS.
Passengers can now receive their PNR status as well as information regarding time of arrival and departure of all trains, including platform number allocation, by sending an SMS to 139. They should send SMS as given: AD space Train Number space STD Code of station city. Platform allocation as well as information regarding expected arrival and scheduled departure of trains is available through the NTES app and on 139.
free NTES app can be downloaded on any Windows, Android or i-Phone system through Play Store or the i-Tunes app Store. It will also give information regarding cancelled, rescheduled or diverted trains.
